Steve Fogel

Agora Gallery, 530 W 25th Street, New York, NY 10001

Photography became a central creative pursuit for Steve Fogel following a long career in medicine. Now retired, he dedicates much of his time to exploring the possibilities of image-making, approaching the medium with curiosity, experimentation, and an evolving artistic perspective.

Working across a range of styles, Fogel’s interests include black-and-white photography, abstract imagery, line-based compositions, pointillism, and AI-assisted visual processes. Rather than focusing on a single genre, he embraces a broad spectrum of subjects, from urban environments and architecture to seascapes, nature, and macro photography.

His practice is driven by a fascination with both the technical and creative aspects of photography. Recent explorations with AI tools have expanded his ability to refine and reinterpret images, allowing him to experiment with new visual directions while maintaining photography as the foundation of his work.

As he continues to develop his artistic voice, Fogel remains committed to exploring the many ways images can capture, transform, and reimagine the world around us.
