Marc Provisor

Marc Provisor (b. 1962, Philadelphia, USA) is a contemporary Israeli painter based in Israel and New York City. His practice brings together abstraction and figurative elements, drawing on themes of conflict, resilience, memory, landscape, and spiritual grounding.

Provisor works primarily in oil and mixed media on canvas, developing layered compositions through expressive brushwork and symbolic imagery. His paintings reflect the relationship between beauty and chaos, lived experience and history, and the fragility and resilience of people and land.

Provisor has exhibited internationally in solo and group exhibitions across Israel, Europe, and the United States. His selected exhibitions include presentations at Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art in Warsaw, Agora Gallery in New York, Cais do Sertão in Recife, Brazil, and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.

In 2026, Provisor participated in a group exhibition at George Bergès Gallery in SoHo, New York. His work is also held in private collections internationally.

Through an evolving approach to materials and color, Provisor continues to develop a visual language centered on art, memory, and human endurance.
