Kenneth Ricci

Collage · New York

For Kenneth Ricci, collage is a form of visual storytelling. Working under the name ricci, the New York-based artist creates layered compositions that combine images, fragments of text, and unexpected juxtapositions to explore narrative, memory, and human experience.

A self-taught artist, Ricci discovered collage in 2015 and quickly embraced its creative possibilities. What began as an experiment evolved into an extensive body of work spanning multiple series, each driven by themes, implied narratives, and philosophical reflection. Drawing inspiration from literary traditions, his collages often suggest stories rather than fully revealing them, inviting viewers to complete the narrative themselves.

Improvisation plays an important role in his process. Individual elements are selected, assembled, and reinterpreted through a careful balance of intuition and judgment, allowing meaning to emerge through unexpected connections.

Ricci has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions and has had his work published in poetry and literary magazines both nationally and internationally. Through collage, he continues to explore the space where visual art and literature intersect.
