Chrissy Barber is an American artist whose work reflects a lifelong passion for creativity and a belief in the power of art to inspire hope, kindness, and resilience.
Primarily self-taught, she works in acrylic and watercolor, creating expressive paintings that encourage viewers to embrace courage, compassion, and personal growth.
Barber’s artistic journey began in childhood through drawing, painting, and award-winning art competitions, and she has continued to develop her practice alongside a diverse professional background.
Her work has been recognized through several notable public commissions and honors, including artwork featured on the U.S.
Air Force fuel cards for the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race from 2013 to 2018. She was also selected as the official artist for the 2024 Alaska Run for Women and was one of five artists chosen to create a painted sled dog sculpture for Anchorage’s 90th Fur Rendezvous celebration. In 2025, she received the Masterful Mind Award in the 6th International CFA Artist of the Year competition.
