Amy Rottinger is an American illustrator and designer with a professional practice spanning children’s publishing, commercial illustration, and product design. A graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art, she has developed a career centered on visual storytelling and the depiction of wildlife and natural environments.
Throughout her career, Rottinger has illustrated more than 60 children’s books for independent authors and publishing houses, including Halo Publishing International. Her book Twinkle Toes received a Silver Mom’s Choice Award and was recognized by the New England, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Paris Book Festivals. She was also named a finalist for Best Illustrator in Cleveland, Ohio.
Working primarily in digital media, Rottinger creates detailed illustrations through a process that combines research, observational study, and layered color application. Animal subjects play a significant role in her work, reflecting her interest in nature and environmental awareness.
In addition to her independent projects, she works as an illustrator and designer creating products for national parks, zoos, and aquariums across the United States.
