Dimitra Papageorgiou found her true calling in art after a long career in the hotel and tourism industry.
For more than two decades, she worked in a field that never felt fully her own, until in 2015 she chose to step away and embrace the life she had always dreamed of — the life of a painter.
Since then, she has devoted herself entirely to her art, creating works that reflect both her inner journey and her love of nature.
Living and working in Thessaloniki, Greece, Papageorgiou paints primarily in oils, acrylics, and mixed media, using brushes and palette knives to build texture, depth, and emotion.
Her work has evolved from impressionistic and figurative forms into a more fluid and abstract style, where vibrant colors and shifting movements echo the rhythms of the natural world.
She has exhibited in Greece, Spain, Germany, and Italy, sharing her vision with audiences across Europe.
For Papageorgiou, painting is more than creation; rather, it is relaxation, freedom, and emotional release, a constant search for beauty, balance, and the perfect wave.
