At 60 years old, Australian artist AnnaK (Anna Kovacs) decided to take a leap that many only dream of—devoting herself fully to her art.
After a long career in administration and years of work as a natural and sound therapist, she turned her focus to painting, bringing with her a lifetime of experience, reflection, and healing practices.
AnnaK’s art is inspired by the natural world of Australia and her deep interest in the human spirit. Her works often highlight animals, including endangered species, alongside explorations of human growth and self-discovery.
Whether highlighting the beauty of a landscape or the complexity of emotion, her paintings are rich in color, light, and fine detail.
Since beginning her career in 2023, AnnaK’s work has already traveled far beyond her studio in Canberra, appearing in exhibitions across Australia, the United States, Europe, and Asia. She has received numerous honors, including the 2025 WAA Woman’s Art Award, endorsed by the UNESCO Centre.
Through her art, AnnaK invites viewers to pause, reflect, and connect with nature, with others, and with themselves.
