Miki Goto
My work explores identity through the question "Who am I," drawing from Zen philosophy and an intuitive awareness of the unseen order of all things. I was born in Mie, Japan, near Ise Shrine, and raised in a spiritually rich environment that shaped my sensitivity to presence beyond form.
My practice reflects Zen's pursuit of inner stillness and self-inquiry, engaging with fundamental questions of being. Through quiet forms and vibrant textures, the work expresses values such as respect, empathy, and harmony.
The work creates a contemplative space that encourages deeper awareness of identity and the subtle interconnectedness that flows through all existence.
