Agazit

Oil and charcoal painting
Pier 36, New York, NY

My work is a meditation on color, form, and the emotional landscapes of human experience. I am drawn to abstraction because it allows me to convey feeling beyond literal representation, using bold and nuanced color to create depth, mood, and resonance. In my portraits, I explore the unique language of faces—funny expressions, unexpected gestures, and subtle sensuality—capturing the humor, intimacy, and complexity of human identity.

These expressions, layered with texture and color, invite viewers to connect with both the personality and emotional energy of the subject.

I work intuitively across oil, charcoal, mixed media, murals, and 3D installations, allowing materials to guide the composition and interplay of light, form, and space. Nature, culture, and personal history inform my practice from my experiences as a first-generation immigrant to growing up with a sibling with autism.

Ultimately, my art celebrates resilience, identity, and connection, blending abstraction and figuration to create immersive works that are playful, sensual, and deeply human.
