Pastels drew me in because of their immediacy, precision, and tactile quality. I work exclusively in this medium, which allows me to capture fine details and expressive energy, both essential to my focus on animal portraiture.

My artistic vision is to reveal the unique spirit, character, and anatomy of each animal beyond its physical likeness. By layering and blending different types of pastels, I build depth and texture while preserving the freshness of each mark, creating an immersive experience for the viewer.
