W. Saint-Lamar, an Emergency and Trauma Physician based in Atlanta, Georgia, discovered his passion for painting in 2022 at age 55. With a background in psychology, he works with acrylics and oil pastels, channeling his experiences from the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic into his art. His work, deeply rooted in spirituality and gratitude, celebrates life amidst adversity. Inspired by Expressionism, W. Saint-Lamar’s creations reflect the empathy he developed while caring for patients facing life and death.
