Debra Stelnik is a versatile artist specializing in painting, collage, and piñata design. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she has been creating art for over 35 years. Inspired by the world around her, Stelnik transforms everyday life into creative expression.
Stelnik’s work features a blend of color and texture, primarily using acrylics for their quick-drying and layering properties. While her subjects evolve, her style of broad strokes, vibrant colors, and rich textures remains constant. Her latest series Phonemotions explores people’s uninhibited behavior while using their phones and the emotions they display.“I’ve always imagined that if aliens came down to earth and saw people on their phones, they might think that their devices are real beings.”
