Thierry J. Taule, born in the USA to French parents, is a versatile artist from Danbury, CT, based in Latham, NY. With a background in geography and atmospheric sciences from the State University of New York, his art is inspired by natural beauty and phenomena, such as lush gardens or the erosive process of materials uncovering their structural past. A self-taught artist, Taule’s creative journey began when he encountered Helen Frankenthaler at age 16, whose art and personality left an indelible mark on him. While initially inspired by her work, he developed his distinctive style, after a long period of exploration, using a mix of acrylic, latex, and mixed media, and found objects. Recently, he began a series of works made of clear glue and dye crystals. Taule’s work explores colors, shapes, and textures, aiming to evoke a spectrum of emotions. His unique approach celebrates the hidden beauty in mechanical parts, offering viewers a glimpse into his creative journey and the joy of artistic freedom.
