Clare McShanag is a photographic artist based in Sydney, Australia. After studying graphic art at Swinburne University, she traveled the world, finding artistic photographic opportunities exhibiting in London, Europe, and the USA, collaborating with numerous fashion photographers, including David Richmond. In New York, McShanag staged her first solo exhibition, titled The Character of Life, at the Soho Lounge in New York. Her passion for cameras cemented, McShanag formalized her calling with studies in a Bachelor of Fine Art in Photography at RMIT University in Melbourne.
In May 2003, she presented an exhibition at Blupols Gallery in Melbourne The streets have no names, followed by a stint in Melbourne as a professional photographer with Animal House Studios. Over the subsequent decade, McShanag has built a strong portfolio of creative work within the Art world and commercial photography. She finds immense satisfaction in her ability to work with other creative people–perceiving immense benefit in synergies and fostering her growth as a visual artist. Clarefotografie, based in Sydney, Australia, was established as an art and photography business that focuses on evoking inner beauty and spirit.
