Growing up in the countryside on the South coast of the UK, Mark Kendrick discovered photography during weekend woodland walks, capturing the hidden details of flora and fauna. His fascination with macro photography revealed a world often overlooked, sparking a passion to share his unique perspective. Mark explored various genres from landscape to street, and while working on cruise ships he overcame his fear of portraiture, gaining valuable skills in composition, lighting, and presentation. The 2020 lockdown ignited his love for abstract photography, leading to the Light in the Dark project, nominated for the Fine Art Photography Awards. Mark’s ongoing series titled Pirouettes invites viewers to let their imagination fill the scene, creating worlds beyond reality.
