Mark Kendrick is an up-and-coming photographer who started his artistic journey in the peaceful countryside of the UK’s South Coast. During his weekend walks in the woods, he discovered photography by capturing detailed images of plants and animals. This love for macro photography revealed hidden worlds and motivated him to share his unique view.
Throughout his career, Kendrick has explored various genres, from stunning landscapes to lively street photography. His time on cruise ships helped him become skilled in portrait photography, honing his abilities in composition, lighting, and presentation. The 2020 lockdown further sparked his creativity, leading to the “ Light in the Dark ” project, which was nominated for the Fine Art Photography Awards.
His ongoing series, “ Pirouettes,” invites viewers to use their imaginations and dive into dreamlike scenes that go beyond reality. Through his lens, Kendrick breaks scenes into their core components of light and colour, encouraging art lovers to fill in the details with their own experiences, memories and visions.
