Harjeet Sandhu

Mosaic art

Harjeet Sandhu, an Indian-born mosaic artist, brings decades of artistic experience to life through his intricate glass tile mosaics.

Born in Punjab, Sandhu was surrounded by creativity, with his family excelling in various art forms like music, acting, and painting. His early artistic journey spanned multiple mediums, including watercolors, clay modeling, and wood sculpture. Sandhu earned his master’s degree in art, graduating with distinction from Government College in Hoshiarpur.

After moving to New York, he built a successful career in digital art and sign design, yet he always dreamed of working with mosaics. At 65, Sandhu achieved this dream, creating mosaic art with deep cultural and social significance. His work has been shown internationally, including at the Punjab Lalit Kala Academy, Ditra Gallery, and the Sikh Heritage Museum of Canada. Now retired, Sandhu remains inspired by his surroundings, creating vibrant mosaics that express powerful emotions through glass.
