Spanish artist Eusebio San Blanco combines traditional techniques with modern insights to create impactful oil paintings that depict an era of artificial light.
With a background in fine arts, San Blanco holds a Ph.D. from the University of Salamanca, where he also served as a professor of anatomical drawing and director of cultural activities. San Blanco’s work has been exhibited internationally in venues such as the National Museum of Drawing in Spain and the Museum of Guarda in Portugal. Notable achievements include first prize at the Vienna International Contemporary Art Competition in 2023 and upcoming virtual exhibitions in New York.
San Blanco’s paintings explore the relationship between light and shadow, displaying how modern lighting affects our perception of subjects compared to the past. His works, known for their sensuality and emotional depth, use these elements to highlight the timeless nature of human experience. Every piece acts as a dialogue between past and present, showcasing the subtle interplay of light and color in a way that resonates with today’s visual culture.
