These words define Margo Mc Daid, the Irish artist known as Margo in Margate. Since 2014, she has painted daily in her Kent studio, producing a vast collection that captures her artistic journey.
Her distinctive portraits, inspired by Margate’s creative energy and vintage aesthetics, have gained a devoted following.
With bold colors and striking female figures, her pieces are in high demand, often selling out instantly on Instagram. In January 2024, her solo exhibition at Brighton’s Helm Gallery sold out within 24 hours, a testament to her growing success.
A graduate of Camberwell College of Arts, Margo’s path has taken her from New York’s pop art scene to community arts in England before she embraced painting full-time.
Working across canvas, paper, ceramic, and wood, she remains dedicated to her craft, creating every day with passion and purpose.
