Dina Freeman is an American artist living in Brooklyn, New York. Her passion for art began at a young age and led her to earn a degree in painting from Arizona State University. After graduating, she refined her creative skills while working as an apprentice for a well-known interior designer in Chicago.
Over the years, she balanced her artistic pursuits with a career in education, earning a master’s degree and eventually serving as an elementary school principal.
The summer before the pandemic, Freeman decided to return to her first passion: art. The energy of live music, especially jam bands, inspires her colorful abstract pieces. Using bold colors, dynamic designs, and a rhythmic process, her work reflects the spontaneity and movement of sound, encouraging viewers to connect emotionally.
Freeman extends her artistry beyond traditional canvases, incorporating them into unique home goods, resin art, and jewelry, all while balancing accessibility and creativity. Her studio in Brooklyn is a hub of innovation, where she mixes all her paints by hand, infusing intention and energy into each piece.
Through her art, Freeman offers viewers an escape—an invitation to immerse themselves in a world of color, rhythm, and imagination.
