I make my art from a unique vantage point. I like to look at the world on my own.

I aim to open viewers’ eyes and present a fresh perspective. I am mostly inspired by line.

Bamboo, pen, Indian ink, and silk are my favorite art-making tools.

I believe that an image can express the true side of a person’s inner self. I am interested in expressing a personal narrative story using a bamboo pen, Indian ink, and silk—delicate lines show a metaphorical image that symbolizes my essence.

The process of creating a work is very simple. My working method is spontaneous, momentary, and abstract. I usually meditate before starting work. It quiets the mind. Quietly, I gaze at the blank screen, focusing on accepting it as it is.

The motif of my artistic creation lies in the daily life of the city. My moments in Seoul and my personal stories are the main artistic themes. My inspiration comes from a place where I hold personal memories.

My works contain memories associated with a specific person. My series is a diary of memories.

I cherish the moments spent with my cat, gazing at the bamboo forest swaying in the wind at dawn, and spending time with my lover on the Han River in late autumn. Those moments inspire me. I hope my personal memories will remind viewers of theirs.
