Jeeva Thomas, known as Jeevs in the art world, is a Canadian abstract painter based in Vancouver, BC.
Born in Trincomalee, Sri Lanka, and having lived in Paris, France, Jeevs’s work reflects his journey across different landscapes – from tropical shores to bustling cities and towering mountains.
A self-taught artist, Jeevs discovered painting as a powerful escape during his battle with cancer. What began as a therapeutic outlet soon blossomed into a deep passion, transforming his journey of healing into a vibrant artistic expression.
His work celebrates resilience, healing, and transformation, capturing the profound emotions tied to overcoming adversity.
Through expressive, colorful pieces that explore movement, energy, and emotion, Jeevs aims to evoke hope and beauty even in the face of life’s challenges.

Before fully dedicating himself to art, Jeevs worked as an electronics and telecommunications engineer, retiring in June 2023. Committed to making a difference, he donates half his profits to the BC Cancer Foundation.
