I find art as fascinating as the world in which we live! As a child, I loved to draw, paint, and enter art contests, winning several at a young age and, as a teenager, winning a military base art contest in which I placed first overall in a category.
I enjoy experimenting with various media, my favorites being acrylic and watercolor.
I was honored and grateful to create art featured on the 2013–2018 Iditarod Air Force fuel cards during the Iditarod race in Alaska. I’m grateful to have been the 2024 design artist for the Alaska Run for Women.
I was also one of five artists selected to give a Rondy Sled Dog a makeover for the 90th Fur Rendezvous Celebration, a premier winter festival held in Anchorage, Alaska, and I received a “Masterful Mind Award” in the 6th International CFA Artist of the Year 2024–2025 competition. I had the opportunity to volunteer and be part of a beautiful community project thanks to another very talented and kind-souled local artist. She brought many souls together to help paint two brilliant murals depicting her masterpieces that bring light, love, and beauty to our community and the world. They are located in downtown Anchorage, Alaska, on 6th Avenue and D Street.
Mainly self-taught, I elected to take art and science classes into adulthood. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and am a certified National Road Runners Club of America Level II Youth and Adult Distance Running Coach.
I am also a certified Human Resource Professional through the Human Resource Certification Institute (SPHR) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-CP), becoming a Certified Professional.
