Nina Hurwitz

Acrylic painting · Brooklyn, New York

Born in Brooklyn and rooted in a Hasidic Jewish background, Nina Hurwitz’s work serves as a reflection of these complex cultural influences. Her artistic practice has evolved from a cathartic exploration of personal history into a joyful celebration of whimsy and light. By bridging deep vulnerability with playful expression, Hurwitz creates work that invites the viewer to pause and connect, and even have a laugh.

Nina Hurwitz is known for her vibrant “infinity lines” that run throughout all her paintings. Her canvases vibrate with emotional honesty. Hurwitz’s work explores themes of healing, forgiveness, and the radical power of human contact. ‘Infinite Embraces,’ featuring her signature recurring motifs of open arms and warm, expressive color palettes, serves as a bridge for collectors seeking work that is as aesthetically rigorous as it is deeply relatable.

“Everybody needs a laugh and a hug,” says Hurwitz. “My goal is to create a space that transcends the canvas—to offer connection and a splash of dopamine in an increasingly fast-paced world.”
