Nathan Morgan-Kitch, professionally known as “threed3grees,” is an emerging talent in the contemporary art scene, engaging audiences through digital photography.
A newcomer to the art scene, Morgan-Kitch has quickly demonstrated his ability to transform ordinary subjects into profound visual stories.
Although his academic background lies outside traditional art disciplines, Morgan Kitch pursued creative exploration through performance art, printmaking, and art history.
His passion for photography was solidified during an Intro to Digital Photography course, sparking a journey that has grown into a dynamic artistic practice.
Morgan-Kitch’s work primarily focuses on black-and-white and sepia tones, mediums he uses to transport viewers to moments frozen in time.
His concept of “threed3grees,” which draws inspiration from the theory of Six Degrees of Separation, represents his artistic philosophy. He believes art narrows the distance between creator, subject, and viewer to three degrees, fostering meaningful and introspective relationships.
This approach to viewing art becomes more social, encouraging reflection on how the artist finds their subject, transforms it into art, and selects the medium. This interaction strengthens the connection between everyone involved, enriching the experience and understanding of the art.
