Andrew Yang

Painting

Andrew Yang is a Chinese-Canadian artist, educator, and community leader whose work explores identity, migration, and the natural world.

With a distinctive painting style that blends traditional techniques and modern aesthetics, Yang captures the wildness and serenity of nature, reflecting his adventurous spirit and appreciation for contrasts.

As the Art Director of M+ Studio in Canada, Yang has curated numerous art events and exhibitions both locally and internationally. Notable exhibitions include the Lantern Festival Art Exhibition (2017) and the Reflection exhibition at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection (2019). He also served as the Art Director for the Atlantic International Youth Visual Art Festival (2024), providing a platform for young artists to showcase their work.

Yang’s series Acadia Impression: White Memory focuses on nature’s cycles of resilience and transformation. He highlights the contrast between stillness and movement through layered compositions and expressive brushwork, reminding us of the quiet strength and renewal found in the natural world.
