Hyunsook Lee is a talented Korean artist, acclaimed for her emotive floral paintings. She studied chemistry at university and worked for a long time as the CEO of an art education company before dedicating herself fully to painting.
Lee has been recognized with numerous awards, including accolades from Hyundai, JongAng Ilbo, and the Ulsan and Seongsan art exhibitions, with 21 awards from the prestigious Korea Art Exhibition. She is also featured as an artist at Open Gallery, Korea’s top art venue.
Lee’s artwork revolves around the delicate symbolism of flowers, which have accompanied her through moments of joy, sorrow, encounters, and farewells. She infuses each flower with personal meaning, reflecting her deepest longings and emotions.
Her paintings reflect a quiet strength, using flowers to symbolize love, healing, and the passage of time. Each piece creates a sense of connection, evoking feelings of both nostalgia and renewal.
For Lee, art is a powerful force that transcends time, allowing her to reconnect with past moments and embrace the beauty of life’s fleeting encounters.
