Marisela Aguilar Salas is a contemporary Renaissance artist whose work crosses boundaries and disciplines. Born in Mexico, she is a painter, philosopher, writer, photographer, music producer, and editor of children’s books. Her creative world is as expansive as it is profound.
Her abstract paintings are rich, layered expressions of emotion. Using materials like acrylic, encaustic, pastels, and sand, Salas builds textured surfaces that speak with intensity and intuition. Each piece is a visual poem, inviting the viewer to feel beyond what is seen.
Painting is her space of freedom. Her process is deeply physical and instinctive, shaped by movement, energy, and emotion. Every brushstroke becomes part of a conversation between the inner world and the canvas.
Salas was recently featured in Venice at Infinite Carnival and will soon be exhibiting at the MEAM in Barcelona and in New York. With a PhD in Political Philosophy and a background in award-winning publishing, she brings a rare intellectual and emotional depth to her work.
Every piece she creates invites you to slow down, look closely, and experience something beyond words.
