Gregory Garcia

Watercolor painting · Astoria, Queens, New York

Gregory Garcia paints with heart, memory, and a sharp eye for light. Born in Trinidad and Tobago and now living in New York City, Garcia captures the calm of his island home and the vibrant pulse of urban life in his watercolor paintings.

From rich forest greens to the shadows of city streets, his work celebrates beauty in both the natural and built world.

A self-taught artist, Garcia began painting in Trinidad and has worked in several mediums, including oil and acrylic.

Today, he chooses watercolor for its challenge and clarity. Each transparent layer reveals his dedication to detail and feeling. His paintings radiate peace, honesty, and life.

Garcia has exhibited across the Caribbean and New York, and continues to grow his practice from his studio in Astoria, Queens. Whether landscapes, portraits, or still lifes, his art invites viewers to pause and see the world with fresh eyes.
