Cristian Mitrani
For more than five decades, Argentine-Belgian artist Cristian Mitrani has pursued a singular photographic vision defined by an enduring search for aesthetics and the discovery of beauty. His work moves between cities, natural landscapes, museums, sacred spaces, and other places shaped by human experience.
For Mitrani, photography is not simply a means of representing the world, but a way of perceiving it differently. Through experimentation with light, composition, and photographic processes, he creates images that reveal relationships between beauty, symmetry, and humanity.
His photographic practice often incorporates multiple exposures and experimental processes, creating images filled with light, movement, color, and depth. Rather than focusing solely on representation, Mitrani uses photography to celebrate aesthetics and reveal connections within the world around him.
Mitrani has exhibited across Europe and the United States, including Madrid, New York, Miami, Paris, Washington, and Hong Kong. His work is represented by The Muisca Gallery in Paris. A portion of his proceeds also supports NGOs working in food, education, and health, like Parkinson’s Europe.
Through his ongoing photographic practice, Mitrani continues to create images centered on beauty, aesthetics, and the experience of seeing the world from a different perspective.
