Afsaneh Djabbari-Aslani

Mixed-media painting

Afsaneh Djabbari-Aslani is an Iranian-American artist whose paintings speak as much to the eye as they do to the heart.

A former United Nations and Barnard College professional, Djabbari-Aslani brings a rich and multicultural perspective to her art, weaving her global experience, activism, and passion into every canvas.

Her artwork encompasses oils, acrylics, pastels, and mixed media, each piece bursting with vibrant colors, intricate layers, and deep emotional resonance.

Her artistic journey has taken her from Silvermine Art Guild training to solo and group exhibitions across the Northeast and beyond, including the High Line Nine in New York and Mayor’s Gallery in Stamford.

Her art has been recognized not just for its beauty, but for its message, often supporting causes like children affected by war and anti-racism efforts.

Djabbari-Aslani’s creative philosophy is simple: like food, art should be colorful, varied, and nourishing to the spirit. Whether painting a still life or abstract composition, she invites us to see the extraordinary in the everyday.
