Agora Gallery, October 8–14, 2025
When Pankti Mehta walked away from a successful career in finance to embrace art, she wasn’t just changing professions — she was stepping into her purpose. Today, under the name HuesbyPM, Mehta paints with a conviction that is both personal and universal: creativity as freedom, and color as language.
Originally from India and now based in Central Pennsylvania, Mehta’s journey bridges continents, traditions, and perspectives. Her bold, tactile works reflect that duality — a fusion of heritage and modern sensibility, rhythm and reflection, structure and spontaneity.
Mehta describes her decision to leave the corporate world as a defining moment — a leap of faith that reshaped her life. That courage now radiates from every brushstroke.
Her paintings pulse with movement and light, using acrylic, resin, and textured media on both canvas and wood. The resulting surfaces are layered and dimensional, catching reflections that shift as viewers move — much like the many transitions that shaped her own story.
“Each artwork is an emotional landscape,” she explains, “sometimes playful, sometimes intense, but always alive with movement and meaning.”
Mehta’s palette — rich reds, vibrant yellows, deep blues — carries echoes of India’s visual traditions, yet her compositions speak in a contemporary New York accent. In pieces such as New York, New York (2024) and Midnight Jam (2025), urban silhouettes meet expressive abstraction, evoking the pulse of city life and the humanity within it.
In Pretty Woman (2025), a figure strides confidently across a stylized bridge — an emblem of strength, individuality, and crossing between worlds. The work feels autobiographical, capturing Mehta’s journey toward artistic independence.
Her art is, in essence, a meeting point — between East and West, past and present, structure and emotion. It’s where memory becomes color and culture turns into rhythm.

Mehta’s participation in “New York, I Love You”, Agora Gallery’s fall 2025 exhibition, marked a significant milestone in her young career. Presenting her work in Chelsea — surrounded by the creative energy of New York City — gave her art a new resonance.
Reflecting on the experience, Mehta shared:
“The event was exceptionally well-organized, and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed connecting with you, the other artists, and the attendees. I was truly honored by the warm and enthusiastic response to my work.”

The exhibition brought together international artists whose works celebrated the spirit of New York — its diversity, resilience, and creativity. Mehta’s contribution stood out for its fusion of cultural depth and visual dynamism, perfectly capturing the show’s theme.
Under her artistic identity HuesbyPM, Pankti Mehta paints not just what she sees, but what she feels. Her works invite viewers into an expressive, textural world where boldness meets sincerity.
There’s a confidence in her art — the kind that comes from self-discovery. She paints with passion and purpose, carrying an unshakable belief in the power of creativity to transform both artist and audience.
Her canvases remind us that courage is also a color — and that art, at its best, is an act of faith.
