I create mixed media abstract paintings inspired by mountain landscapes, desert vistas, and remote beaches. I work from small sketches or studies, as inspiration for my larger paintings. My process is one of spontaneity and correction. I play with color and light, always layering and working in various mediums. My goal is to continue this process, always discovering the new creative paths that emerge. With a view of Red Mountain outside my studio in Aspen, at The Red Brick Center for the Arts, inspiration is all around me. I remain excited by the exploration of motion, color, light, and the power of nature on my work.
