Lizzy Dew

Agora Gallery, 530 W 25th Street, New York, NY 10001

Lizzy Dew is a self-taught contemporary artist working at the intersection of art, medicine, and spirituality. Her background in medical imaging gives her a distinct perspective on the human body, memory, and the relationship between what is visible and what exists beneath the surface.

Dew studied at Quinnipiac University, where she pursued health sciences while developing her artistic practice. She later earned a master’s degree in advanced medical imaging and works as a travel MRI technologist. Her experience in medicine continues to influence the themes and ideas present in her artwork.

Drawing has been part of Dew’s life since childhood. An early drawing based on a childhood memory showed her how art could preserve emotion, movement, and personal experience. This connection continues to guide her practice today.

Influenced by both science and spirituality, Dew works with ideas of the human body, memory, movement, and healing. Her work brings together structure and intuition, precision and emotion, creating a visual language that connects physical experience with the inner world.

Living and working in New York City has also strengthened her connection to the arts through galleries, workshops, and collaborations. Through her practice, Dew creates a space for reflection on the connection between art, the body, and human experience.
