Liliana Cecchin
Born in Santhià (Vercelli), Italy, Liliana Cecchin lives and works in San Benigno Canavese. She earned her diploma in art studies from Liceo Artistico Primo in Turin. Her career includes numerous national and international exhibitions, with her work presented at Art Salzburg, the Daegu-Milan Artexhibition in South Korea, Lineart Ghent in Belgium, and Saluzzo Arte.
Cecchin was a finalist for the Premio Arte Mondadori in 2001 and 2004 and received the Premio Olivero in Saluzzo in 2004 and the Premio Artemisia in Ancona in 2008. Her work was featured in the 2012 Venice Biennale at Sala Nervi in Turin, curated by Vittorio Sgarbi. She was also a finalist for the international CBM Prize and received the artist residency at the Premio Marchionni in 2016, as well as winning the 2026 edition.
Cecchin’s work focuses on people in places where movement is part of everyday life, including train stations, city centers, and subways. Through blurred trails and moving figures, she draws attention to the loss of human connection within crowded spaces.
