Guylain Mosoba

From Kinshasa to Paris, Guylain Mosoba’s artistic journey has always been defined by a desire to forge connections.

Born in Lingwala, near the Academy of Fine Arts in Kinshasa, Guylain developed an early interest in the visual arts before earning the highest degree in the field from that same institution. His career has since spanned painting, graphic design, textile design, and monumental public art.

He has created monumental murals in his hometown, including at the presidential residence, and has won numerous international awards and competitions. He also designed the wax-print fabric featuring Joseph Kabila, which was subsequently produced and distributed by Utexafrica.

Now based in Paris, his artistic market value has been officially certified in collaboration with Akoun, a global leader in art market data, and validated by expert Jacques-Armand Akoun.

Guylain Mosoba continues to create works rooted in African identity, spirituality, and universal human values. Peace, hope, dignity, and intercultural dialogue remain at the heart of his artistic vision, lending his work a perspective shaped by both his cultural heritage and his international artistic career.
