Glenn Gordon

Agora Gallery, 530 W 25th Street, New York, NY 10001

Glenn Girard Gordon has been working as a professional artist since the age of 15, when he won the Northern Virginia State Art Fair in the Adult Division. The recognition marked the beginning of a career that has continued across decades and multiple art communities in the United States and abroad.

Gordon began developing his skills even earlier, apprenticing with a professional artist from the age of 12 to 16. His mentor eventually told his mother that there was nothing more she needed to teach him, marking an important early milestone in his development as an artist.

Today, Gordon creates one-of-a-kind abstract paintings centered on the relationship between color and light. His layered technique brings together expressive brushwork and subtle color transitions, creating depth and movement across the surface. Each painting is developed through layers of color, with confident brushstrokes shaping the final composition.

Over the years, Gordon has exhibited his work in Aspen, Malibu, Los Angeles, Missouri, and Virginia, as well as more recently in New York City, Palm Beach, and Paris. His long professional history continues to inform a practice grounded in modern abstraction and a distinctive approach to color, light, and layered painting.
