Nada Alowaid

Atelier Natália Gromicho, Rua Nova da Trindade 5G, 1200-301 Lisbon, Portugal

Color, texture, and emotion are central to the work of Saudi artist Nada Alowaid. Through minimalist compositions and layered acrylic surfaces, she explores how subtle visual elements can evoke memory, atmosphere, and personal reflection.

Working primarily with a palette knife, Alowaid creates paintings that emphasize presence over narrative. Inspired by architecture, landscapes, and emotional experiences, her compositions often balance simplicity with depth, inviting viewers to engage with the work at their own pace and through their own perspectives.

Alowaid’s path to art was unconventional. Although she studied biology and computer science, her passion for creative expression ultimately led her to develop a contemporary painting practice focused on emotional connection and visual harmony. Her work also extends into customized commissions designed to enrich modern living spaces.

Over the years, her paintings have been presented in international exhibitions and art fairs across Europe, including London, Paris, Rome, Barcelona, and Lecce. Through her practice, Alowaid continues to investigate the quiet yet powerful ways art can communicate feeling, memory, and human experience.
