Hathairat Maneerat is a New York City-based artist born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand. Hathairat began her career as a womenʼs wear fashion designer, establishing her namesake brand, Hathairat, in 2014. The Hathairat brand was known for its unique concepts and innovative designs. During the pandemic in 2020, Hathairat transitioned from fashion to visual arts. Hathairat began her art career as a self-taught artist and found that expressing her imagination, beliefs, and life philosophy on her canvases and in her sculptures allowed her to share her passions with the world. After establishing herself as a commissioned surrealist artist, in 2023, Hathairat decided to expand her art experience and education through the CFA program at the New York Academy of Art (currently CFA Class of 2024). Hathairat will be pursuing her MFA in 2025.

Hathairatʼs love for art is unstoppable and she is constantly experimenting with new media and techniques to further express herself. As a former fashion designer, a key focus of each art piece is the female figure. Her art reflects her boldness, confidence, and playfulness through the use of color, the female figure, flowing fabrics, and unexpected geometric shapes. Her pieces have an emotional impact that emanates from lifeʼs traumas but are developed into positive and inspiring works of art. Much of Hathairatʼs art, and the subjects of many of her works, bridge the divide between art and fashion, resulting in unique imaginative art with a surrealistic style.

Hathairat lived across the globe, from Thailand to New Zealand to France before finding her home in New York City. Her global experience influences her art, expressing the nuances of different cultures, and nature and driving her choice of colors. As Hathairat develops each work, she combines her creativity with the real world around her, expressing her emotions and life experiences through a surrealist expression. Hathairatʼs goal is to connect people and create inspiration and hopefulness through her art.
