In my artistic journey, I have always been taking inspiration from the world around me. One of the most captivating realms of nature is the tropical world with its lush greenery, vibrant colors, and exotic flowers. My ongoing series of paintings entitled The Palaces for Plants, which was started during the COVID-19 pandemic, is inspired by my fascination for tropical plants and flowers celebrating the beauty of tropical nature. The series is devoted to the world of palm houses, orangeries, and conservatories–green oases in bustling cities that allow people to travel in their minds to far-away tropical forests and breathe in the air filled with the scent of exotic flowers. In an increasingly urbanized and technology-driven world, it is easy to lose touch with the environment and nature. My artworks give a sense of escape, reflect the longing for an idyllic paradise, and act as a gateway reconnecting the viewers to the wonders of the tropical world and allowing them to experience the vibrant energy, mystique, and sensuality of exotic places.
